Description
The Sales & Business Development Director will be responsible for driving business growth within Group. He/ She will be responsible for developing a robust business pipeline, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through innovative solutions.
He/ She will be developing a network of contacts to attract new clients, researching new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income.
Responsibilities:
- Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business and reach new audiences
- Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes
- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
- Discuss promotional strategies with the Top management & GMs of respective Business Units.
- Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive company growth and profitability.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels
- Attend seminars, conferences and events to build business network and profile.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and establish connections.
- Meet with customers/clients face-to-face or over the phone
- Foster and develop relationships with customers, clients, partners and sponsors to generate repeat business as well as finding new opportunities
- Understand the needs of the customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
- Lead on and support bid-writing for new grants and contracts where appropriate
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, Business Units, Operations) to create tailored solutions for potential clients.
- Prepare and present business proposals, RFPs, and presentations to senior leadership and client decision-makers.
- Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present the findings to top management/GMs of Business Units.
- Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
- Attach goals for the team business development and develop strategies to achieve these goals
- Training business developers and sales colleagues.
- Calling weekly interim meetings with the subordinates to discuss and track their progress.
Requirements:
- Min experience of 15+ years in sales & business development
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
- Proven sales track record
- Exposure to services industry would be an asset
- Strong ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities through strategic thinking and market analysis.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.
- Proven expertise in developing and executing successful sales and business development strategies.
- Adept at building relationships with senior executives, stakeholders, and industry leaders.
- Solid understanding of business dynamics, sales cycles, and consultative selling techniques.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms or similar tools.
- Self-motivated and results-driven attitude, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue goals.
