Description
We are hiring for a Senior Contracts Manager to work on a civil project in Saudi Arabi for a big contractor.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to Project Director
- Assists Project Management in all aspects of Contract Administration and
Quantity Surveying. - Represents the company in a professional and diligent manner, developing
a strong working relationship with the the client’s representative. - Manages the Contract Administration Team.
- Advises on contract interpretation including analyzing client’s
specifications and drawings. - Develop and communicated internal contract strategies, processes and
procedures and to project team members. - Ensures the proper preparation, documentation and cross-referencing of all
relevant information recording events as substantiating records to claims
and variations. - Reviews, advises and drafts letters on contractual correspondence.
- Assists contractual negotiations and drafting of sub-contract agreements.
- Attends meeting with clients and participates in all contractual aspects of
projects, including payment applications, certifications, claims, final
accounts, variations and contract interpretation. - Preparation of variation orders, notices, claims, negotiations and
agreement of the same. - Advises on the development, agreement and implementation of the project
contractual plans and strategies by reviewing, analyzing and apprising
project management of all aspect that govern the contract. - Oversees and participate in closing out subcontracts including subcontract
claims to satisfactory conclusions.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surverying, Commercial Management, or
other relevant field. - Have obtained RICS chartered status.
- Minimum 20 years’ experience in Civil / Building projects in the
construction industry. - Experience of administering FIDIC red book conditions of contract.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Must have proven adequate experience in Contracts Administration of
Projects on the Contractor’s side. - Ability to delegate tasks to Contract Administration Team including
Quantity Surveyors and junior staff. - Preferably to have Middle East experience at project level.
