Description

We are seeking for a vibrant Project Controls Manager (PCM) with multi-discipline experience in the construction of Mega Mechanical Oil and Gas Projects on work on the contractor side. The PCM will manage and oversee project control functions for construction projects (worldwide), being responsible for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and budget monitoring, progress and performance monitoring and reporting, document control, contract administration, procurement and subcontracting.

Job Brief

  • Review Contract documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of the Scope of Work and Contract requirements.
  • Provide lead to project control teams (including planning / scheduling, cost control, procurement and document control). Direct, support and check the work produced by subordinates to ensure that requirements are met and Company’s norms and procedures applied.
  • Develop the Project Control Plan to outline the processes that will be used for the project control functions such as planning / scheduling, cost control, change management, progress and performance management.
  • Develop project reporting procedures to satisfy Contract / Client requirements and also internal Company’s requirements, in line with company-wide established systems.
  • Prepare and update programs and schedules in accordance with drawings and Contract obligations. Lead the development of WBS’s and utilize Primavera P6 on a regular basis to analyze and recommend improvements to schedules.
  • Issue necessary programs to subcontractors on site and check to ensure that their activities are kept in line with contract requirements.
  • Prepare and update labor and equipment resource programs, showing the work force required for each direct trade and for each subcontractor when applicable.
  • Prepare and provide monthly and up-to-date compilation of all expenditures as compared to the budget, analyzing any variances and their effect on the final cost forecast. Make recommendations to the Project Manager on effective mitigation measures.
  • Overlook the preparation of all weekly and monthly reporting to corporate and Client and ensure timely submissions.
  • Negotiate procurement and subcontracts packages and, finalize agreements to ensure schedule compliance.
  • Provide contractual correspondence regarding changes to contract documents, baseline schedules and budget, impacting schedule, cost, quality and safety.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings, internal or with the Client as necessary

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University;

• Member of a recognized Engineering Institution is an advantage;

• Minimum (15) years of experience, including 10 years with a construction Contractor’s organization working on a breath of heavy construction Mechanical projects;

• Has attained the position of PCM level on site for project(s) exceeding $100M, with minimum (5) years of proven managerial and leadership abilities;

• Fluent in written and spoken English
